Steve Nash currently has the shortest NBA odds, but bettors should not be so quick to jump on his odds.
Yes, Nash is going into this season with a very talented roster that consists of Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant along with many other blossoming stars, but he still does not have the coaching experience that other coaches in the league have. However, if he does click with his new team right from the jump, he could certainly take the award.
Something to keep in mind though, is that a rookie head coach has not won the Coach of the Year Award in recent history. That being said, more value can be found somewhere else on the oddsboard.

Williams has done a fine job as the Suns head coach and is coming off of an impressive year where he led the Suns to a great run in the NBA playoff bubble. His run certainly did not go unnoticed which is why his odds to win the Coach of the Year are where they are.
Looking at the Suns going into the new season, they have made plenty of offseason moves such as bringing in an all-star in Chris Paul to partner with Devin Booker. If Williams can get the most out of the Chris Paul and Devin Booker duo, his name could certainly be swirling for the award and offer a nice payout as well.
Looking at one of the longshot options for the Coach of the Year, it is hard not to think that Lloyd Pierce could potentially win. Pierce has done a nice job with a young Atlanta Hawks team and could look to take his team to the next level in the new season.
The Hawks brought in plenty of great talent in the offseason such a Rajon Rondo, Bogdon Bogdanovic and Danilo Gallinari along with a few others.
If Pierce could mix in the new talent that was brought in with the budding stars that they already have such as Trey Young, Pierce could be looking at the Coach of the Year award and offer a huge payout as well.
